BROCKTON, MASS. (WHDH) - November is National Adoption Month and today is National Adoption Day.

Brockton hosted a mass adoption for children waiting for a place to call home.

Amiyah, who is 20 months old, may not have her daddy’s eyes but she sure does have their hearts. Today, Christian, Joe and Amiyah officially became a family with her adoption finalized. She joined 32 other children at the Brockton Courthouse who found their forever family.

Justin is the eighth child for the Macleods. They have adopted four children, three from the same family.

“We adopted Sam and Lily first and then Justin was born so they asked us, and we would never say no,” said mother Jennifer Macleod. “It has been a gift to keep them together.”

Joey, 11, has waited four years to be adopted and now he is forever connected to his five brothers and sisters.

The group adoptions were also happening in Worcester and Boston Friday.  In total 125 children were adopted into 95 families, making this one of the largest national adoption days here in Massachusetts.
