BOSTON (WHDH) — A major crash in the O’Neill Tunnel on Interstate 93 northbound has closed two lanes on the highway Wednesday morning.
A dump truck collided with two cars near Government Center, just inside of the O’Neill Tunnel. As of 9 a.m., drivers coming into Boston from Braintree faced two-hour traffic delays.
Massachusetts State Police said the left two lanes of the interstate are blocked, and the right lane is open to traffic.
MSP said drivers should expect delays. Traffic maps show cars backed up along the highway as police work to pick up debris in the road and assess the scene.
