BOSTON (WHDH) - The Massachusetts State Police introduced the newest member of their force, their electronic storage detection K-9.

The 2-year-old yellow labrador, named Winnie, can sniff out computers, cellphones and hard drives. She does it by detecting certain chemical compounds that are used to manufacture electronic storage devices.

State Police said Winnie can help find valuable evidence that criminals try to hide from police. She is one of only seven certified electronic storage detection K-9’s in the country.
