FOXBORO, MASS. (WHDH) - Environmental police are warning bike riders to watch out hard-to-see wires that have been stretched across trails throughout the state.

Police said the wires were put there intentionally and put riders at the risk of crashing.

Massachusetts Environmental Police and the Department of Conservation and Recreation posted warnings on state park trails after they received several reports that the wires have been strung up. The wires were found at state parks in Franklin, Wrentham, Freetown and Foxborough.

Anyone who notices something suspicious on the trails is asked to call the Massachusetts Environmental Police or the Department of Conservation and Recreation.
