SANDWICH, Mass. (WHDH) — There were some power outages on Sandwich, but according to Emergency Management, NStar was working on it.

MEMA had spotter groups go around the area so that when there was a problem, they could address it immediately.

They had flooding on the couple of roads which they blocked off. There was some flooding on the boardwalk area and East Sandwich.

During the Blizzard of 2013 storm Police, Fire and even the shelter lost power and it was days before some of the folks could get their power back on because NStar was so busy.

Winds gusted up to 40 miles per hour. Beach erosion continued to be a problem. Waves pounded the coastline created a straight cliff which has come dangerously close to many of the coastal homes.

They lost 20 feet of shoreline in February’s storm, and they were expected to lose several feet more in this storm.
