After many towns pick up 0.50-1.00″ of rain, downpours taper off to areas of drizzle and fog this evening, including in time for the Sox game. While we’re void of heavy rain at Fenway, plan on a damp game with a leftover passing shower, patchy mist and drizzle.  Temps hold in the 60s.

It’s a slow improvement into the weekend as we need to wait until a cool front pushes east of us to completely clear us out.  Unfortunately, that takes a while tomorrow and leads to more scattered showers and thunderstorms to develop, especially mid morning-early afternoon.  Once we get past 3:00PM the rain chance goes down, with the exception of a lingering spotty showers or storm along and inside the 95 corridor, toward the coast.

By Sunday, that front is off to our east, just in time for Dad’s big day.  Humidity lowers as well as temps warm toward 80 degrees.  Sea breezes keep it a bit cooler at the coast, but a great day overall if you’re hitting the golf course, heading to Fenway or hanging out by the grill.

Warmth continues to build into early next week with a couple chances of scattered storms.  One Tuesday and one Wednesday.

Have fun this weekend and Happy Father’s Day to all you dads out there.
