WAREHAM, MASS. (WHDH) - Wareham Police arrested two people — an adult woman and a juvenile — after officials found posts on social media that indicated the juvenile was in possession of illegal weapons.
Police say they executed a search warrant for weapons possessed illegally in Onset after receiving information from School Resource Officers in the Bourne/Wareham school systems. That information was passed on to police.
Police searched the home and found an adult woman who was detained as detectives searched the home. Police say they found a loaded 9-mm handgun and a loaded .30 caliber 9″ barrel handgun. Police say both weapons were high-capacity. Police also found two stun guns.
Officials later found the juvenile in Plymouth, and he was arrested by Plymouth Police. Officials have not released the name or age of the juvenile.
Police are still investigating the matter. Charges have not yet officially been filed.
