WINCHENDON, MA (WHDH) — The Winchendon Fire Department rescued a cat Friday after she found her way into a storm drain.
The cat was found with her head stuck in the grate on Maple Street.
When crews arrived, the cat was barely breathing and moving, as she was hanging from the grate.
Crews were able to remove the grate and upright it so the cat could breathe.
When the owner arrived, fire crews had him get dish soap, and they applied to around his neck, slowly working the grate off the cats head.
