Make sure you grab a raincoat before you hit the deals and steals this Black Friday! We’ve got a few weather obstacles to contend with including patchy fog, drizzle, light rain and a few icy spots early this morning NW of the the 495 loop (especially higher terrain in north central Massachusetts). It’s a good idea to allow some extra time on the roads this morning! Any icy spots should improve around 8AM, and we’ll start to mix out our AM fog as we head into the mid-morning hours. We could still see some patchy fog into the late morning.

Scattered showers and drizzle are possible this morning, and we continue to see the chance for wet weather throughout your Black Friday forecast. Rainfall totals for most will only be a few hundredths of an inch up to 0.1”. While soggy weather sticks around, it shouldn’t feel too terrible as temperatures today and tomorrow will be seasonable in the upper-40s (AND we’re not breezy until this Sunday).

While the chance for showers returns tomorrow, this looks to be a coastal storm, bring rain mainly to the Cape & Islands. The coast could grab a few tenths of an inch of rain as well. Those west of the 495 loop are looking at the just the slight chance for some moisture tomorrow, and a better chance at dry skies Saturday.

As this coastal system tracks of the coast Saturday into Saturday night, we’ll see our winds shift to out of the NW. This will usher in some cooler air and breezy weather for Sunday. On the bright side, we’ll chip away at some of our cloud cover Sunday, seeing a few peaks of sunshine. We’ll keep that sunshine into the start of your workweek, then wet weather creeps back into the forecast as we head into Tuesday. Next week’s system looks to bring us more more impressive rainfall totals than what we’re witnessing through your Thanksgiving weekend.

Get those deals and steals, while staying dry!
