Biography
Kristina Shalhoup is excited to return to Massachusetts as a 7NEWS weekend meteorologist.
Kristina grew up in Easton but her “learn-by-doing” approach to weather has taken her from coast to coast – covering wildfires in Washington and tornadoes in Tennessee. During her decade-long career, she’s forecasted for local news stations and for a national weather network. Kristina was named the first female TV Chief Meteorologist in the state of Rhode Island before making her way to Boston.
Part of Kristina’s drive to give you the most accurate forecast possible comes from her desire to enjoy the outdoors in all seasons. When it’s warm out and she’s not in front of the green screen, you can often find her on the green. Kristina was a competitive golfer at the collegiate level, capping off her golf career as a four-year starter and three-year captain at NYU. When the weather turns cold, you can find her on the slopes or on skates, enjoying every bit of New England’s winter offerings!
