A local singer’s shot at stardom hit a speed bump last night.

Anita Antoinette just missed the cut on “The Voice” Tuesday losing out to fellow Team Gwen member Ryan Sill.

The Berklee School of Music grad grabbed the attention of fans with her reggae style.

But she fell just short of moving on, at least for now.

Tuesday night Anita found herself in the bottom three for the first time in the competition and she couldn’t earn the nation’s save with her rendition of “The Remedy.”

Despite the setback, Anita says the show’s been a great experience and says she couldn’t have done it without her fans.

“Boston, Connecticut, Jamaica thank you guys so much. It’s been phenomenal. I think this journey has just begun I feel so motivated and inspired to really showcase what I really want to do, which is to just love and inspire people,” she said.

Anita isn’t done with the show quite yet. This year, everyone who made the final 12, but got knocked out will get one more shot at the title.

They will all sing one song the winner will move-on to the final.
