The company that had a radioactive construction gauge stolen from a vehicle was cited in the past for storage security violations.
HAKS Material Testing group said someone broke into a truck and cut the gauge out.
The radioactive materials inside could be dangerous, said officials.
Police eventually tracked down the missing gauge at a pawn shop and arrested a suspect.
