With clear skies last night and a low humidity air mass in place, temps tumbled.  Many towns early this morning start in the 40s as a taste of Fall is in the air. That Fall-like feel won’t last long though as summer’s heat and humidity stage a comeback through the weekend.

Despite the cool start today, temps bounce up quickly, reaching the low to mid 70s at the coast and near 80 inland.  Yes, the numbers fall back to the cool side tonight, but by tomorrow afternoon, highs run near 80 at the coast to 85-87 inland. Add another 5 degrees for Labor Day!  That’ll put us near 90 to end the holiday weekend.  Sunshine is a dominate theme throughout as well, allowing for great cookout weather, beach weather, and golf weather.  Speaking of golf, you’ll need plenty of sun screen if you’re heading to TPC Norton.  Norton temps run 80, 85, 90 for highs the next 3 afternoons.  Fore!

The heat and humidity stick around through Thursday of next week, with day time highs running near 90.  I don’t see a chance for widespread showers/storms until either Thursday afternoon or Friday, depending on the timing of the next cold front.  I know, I know, the Pats home opening is on Thursday.  Again, we’ll have to watch the timing of that front for better or for worse.

Enjoy the weekend!
