To put into perspective just how little snow Boston has seen thus far this winter, you can simply look at the amount of snow the city picked up yesterday: 0.8″ of snow. The city picked up 0.3″ of snow the entire month of December ! The snow haters are saying “perfect” while the snow lovers & plow folks are saying “@#$%&”.

A few more snowflakes are possible today but they will be widely scattered. That means a lot of us see sunshine! The sun will try & warm things but that’s a tall order in January. Most towns reach the mid 30s before an arctic front arrives quickly sending those temps into the teens by early this evening! When heading out tonight, layer up as bitter wind & cold prevail.

The Holiday Weekend offers dry weather on 2 of the 3 days (for some of you all 3 days will be dry). Tomorrow is loaded with sunshine but also cold air with temps starting the day in the single numbers and reaching the 20s by afternoon. The good news about tomorrow will be the lack of wind and that is absolutely huge this time of year. Good day for skiing. MLK Monday also offers a mix of sun & clouds with temps in the mid 30s. Sunday is the ugly day for some—including Foxboro. It will be a fast moving & narrow band of rain affecting the I-95 corridor Sunday afternoon & evening. Plan on sprinkles & showers late Sunday afternoon around Gillette with steady showers for much of Sunday evening. Temps on Sunday are in the low 40s.

This storm will not affect ski country with rain…..plan on some flurries on Saturday & again on Monday in ski country! Have a great weekend—go Pats!
