EVERETT, MASS. (WHDH) - Two people were hurt when a landscaping truck crashed through the side of a bank in Everett Thursday morning on Route 16 near Vale Street.

Everett fire and state police responded to the scene.

“I heard a loud bang on the side door,” Derick Torres said, who works next door. “The framing from the building of the bank next door is what hit the side door.”

Torres said when he got outside, an Everett officer was already on scene, working to pull the driver and passenger out of the truck.

“It was three or four of us that dragged him out,” Torres said.

Officials said the driver experienced a medical emergency which resulted in the crash.

Both the driver and the passenger were taken to a hospital and there is no update on their condition at this time.
