BANGOR, Maine (AP) — A Maine game warden has been charged with misdemeanor assault and placed on administrative leave following a concert in Bangor.

The Bangor Daily News reports 41-year-old Mechanic Falls resident Jeremy Judd is slated for arraignment Aug. 21. Police haven’t released many details about the alleged assault, which they say took place during a Florida Georgia Line concert on Thursday night at Darling’s Waterfront Pavilion.

The charge carries a penalty of up to a year in prison and a fine up to $2,000. Judd is a K-9 handler with the Maine Warden Service. A spokesman for the service says Judd has been placed on administrative leave.

Calls to phone numbers listed as belonging to Judd were not returned. It was unclear if he had retained a lawyer.
