PETERBOROUGH, N.H. (WHDH) - An investigation found that officers involved in the deadly shooting of a man in Peterborough, New Hampshire, were legally justified in their actions.

The New Hampshire Attorney General said a 19-year-old car theft suspect began shooting at officers after getting pulled over. Officers then shot and killed him.

After the shooting, the suspect’s gun was examined and determined to be a loaded BB pistol.

The investigation found that the officers had no way of knowing that.
