Quiet Times Golf Course…..one of the first golf courses I ever played on but I’m borrowing that memory for the title of my blog today. I’m OK with that—don’t get me wrong, snowstorms are fun to track if you are a meteorologist but even meteorologists live for their weekends with family/friends. We have a relatively quiet stretch of weather on tap.

Today is a day that offers a mix of sunshine & clouds but it will be cold. It’s colder this morning that yesterday morning and that lower start means it will be a struggle to reach the low 30s. I think we’ll do it but we will need the help of a southwest wind and that wind may add a chill to the air.

As we roll into the weekend, high pressure is with us for Saturday so plan on similar weather—a mix of sun & clouds with daytime temps reaching the low 30s. Once again, a breeze will try to add a chill to the air but all in all, some great weather for skiing, sledding, tubing or even snowshoeing. Sunday we do have a teeny- tiny weather system cruising through New England with clouds and some snow showers/flurries. Some towns are likely to get a coating and even an inch but nothing more than that.

We do remain in a jet stream pattern that can produce snowstorms—on short notice. Example…we are going to watch a storm pass south of New England on Monday….if that track changes then we will have some issue on Monday but as of now it looks dry. Stay tuned over the weekend.
