QUINCY, MASS. (WHDH) - Quincy police have recovered the body of a missing man off Clipper Marina.

Police said Jesse Loubier, 32, has been identified. Loubier was a resident of California who was visiting relatives, according to authorities.

The incident occurred around 6:30 p.m.

According to police, the man went over the side of a boat to fix a mechanical issue, and hit his head. Police say he was trying to free the boat from a line that had become entangled.

He went down a second time to try to fix the problem but never returned to the surface.

He was taken under the current.

An autopsy will be conducted Sunday to determine the man’s cause of death.

Foul play does not appear to be a factor in this case.
