An Ohio State Trooper saved the life of an unresponsive baby after pulling a couple over for speeding.

Trooper Matthew Stoffer was recognized for his quick action after an incident that took place in September. As seen in the video below, the Trooper saw a vehicle traveling at high speeds. The driver saw the cruiser, pulled over, and yelled to Stoffer that they were trying to get to a hospital.

Stoffer performed CPR on the baby until emergency crews arrived to transport the infant to the hospital. The child is now recovering and is in stable condition, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Facebook post.

Stoffer received a certificate of recognition on Nov. 4.
