Transit police search for a man who allegedly assaulted an MBTA bus driver

BOSTON (WHDH) - Transit police are searching for a man in connection accused of assault and battery on an MBTA bus operator.

The incident happened on a bus at the intersection of Cambridge Street and Brighton Avenue in Allston.

According to authorities, the man refused to pay his fare on an MBTA bus on Monday.

After refusing to pay the fare, he allegedly punched an MBTA bus driver.

According to Joe Pesaturo of the MBTA, the man also “chugged a beer” on the bus before his assault.
