It is time.  Winter is no longer coming (because “Winter is here, apparently)… as Game of Thrones wrapped up season 6 last week… So, no better time to find something else to do with your Sunday night.  How about some fireworks?!  Doesn’t sound like a bad idea.  Remember what Katy Perry said:  “You just gotta ignite the light and let it shine.  Just own the night like the 4th of July!”  There are many fireworks displays happening around the area tonight, but here’s a small sampling of a few:

If you liked the warmth today, you’ll love tomorrow!  Temps will be even warmer – and the best news, humidity still stays in check!  Highs top out in the mid to upper 80s for most.  I said it tonight during my forecast, I do believe nothing says “Independence Day” like the smell of dinner cooking on the grill.  Fire that grill up, baby, and cook away!  We’ll stay dry until the last firework flies on the 4th of July!  Enjoy, and stay safe.

Now, on to Tuesday when some changes enter into the forecast.  Last night I mentioned the possibility of the South Shore ending up with some showers on Tuesday.  That’s looking more likely, as a stalled frontal boundary to our south starts to creep farther north. While I do think we’ll see some high level clouds build in Monday evening/night – we will stay dry for all of the festivities you have planned for the holiday.  If the showers do make it far enough north, it looks like the most likely places to get wet on Tuesday will be south of the Mass. Pike – and we’re only talking 0.10″-0.25″.

Sunshine returns for Wednesday and we crank up the heat… INTO THE 90s!  Plus, dewpy dewps will also be rising, which means you’ll likely notice the humidity again.  We call it “Triple-H Weather,” meaning Hot-Hazy-Humid.  Maybe not your favorite, but hey – we’ve really lucked out so far this summer so far not logging many of these “Triple-H” days!  Thursday is still warm and humid and we might see some pop-up showers and thunderstorms Thursday afternoon.

A frontal system approaches the area on Friday and hangs out into the weekend. That will bring us a chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms for Friday and Saturday. Neither day will be a washout as these will be hit or miss showers/storms.  Though, this is looking more likely for Saturday than for Friday, but we’ll continue to watch it.

Enjoy your holiday, and LET FREEDOM RING! – Breezy
