Blue Bell Ice Cream is recalling products produced in its Sylacauga, Atlanta plant because they were made with a chocolate chip cookie dough ingredient that may contain listeria.

Listeria can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people.

Recalled half gallons include chocolate chip cookie dough and cookie two step ice cream.

Recalled pints include chocolate chip cookie dough.

The recalled products were sold in 10 states.

No illnesses have been reported.

Consumers should not eat the recalled products and are encouraged to return them to where they bought them from for a full refund.
