Biography
Ari Alexander is the Weekend Sports Anchor at 7News. He joined the 7Sports team in November, 2025.
Ari is an MLB Insider and has been credited with breaking more than 100 stories including Red Sox trades, signings and other transactions.
Before coming to Boston Ari was a sports anchor and reporter in Houston covering the MLB, NFL and NBA. He has covered multiple World Series Championships, Super Bowls, Final Fours and more. He won the Emmy award for Best Sports Anchor in Texas in 2022 and 2023. Ari has also covered sports in Tucson, AZ and Memphis, TN.
Born in Ukraine, Ari came to the United States in 1996 and speaks fluent Russian. In his spare time he plays golf, enjoys traveling to see world monuments and loves trivia. Ari lives in Boston with his wife Ashley and their Persian cat Henry.
