MENDON, MASS. (WHDH) - Two people were seriously injured after a car collided with a school bus in Mendon.
According to police, the crash happened on Route 140 at around 8:30 a.m. When officers arrived they found a car with heavy damage.
Sixteen elementary school-age children on the bus were headed to a YMCA camp in Franklin when the crash happened. All of the children were uninjured and were picked up by their parents.
The male driver and female passenger in the car were taken to the hospital.
The crash is currently under investigation but police said preliminary witness reports indicate excessive speed may have been a factor.
