INDIANTOWN, Fla. (WHDH) – An alligator that was stalking children around a Florida town was captured and relocated to a safer location.

Brenda Mike said she saw the alligator chasing two children around the park in her neighborhood. She called the county sheriff’s office and by the time Sheriff’s Deputy Jason Hickman responded, the 4-foot long gator was back in the water.

A local trapper was called and Hickman helped the trapper tape the gator’s mouth shut. The animal was then taken to a gator farm.

“And the gator is going to be fine,” said Hickman. “No kids were hurt, that’s the good thing. It’s a win-win for both.”
