A man is facing charges for allegedly slashing a store clerk with a box cutter on Friday morning. 

Police say 25-year-old Jimmy Gaston got into a dispute with the clerk at a 7-11 store on Commonwealth Avenue and slashed the clerk with a box cutter. 

Three customers who witnessed the attack pinned Gaston and called 911, according to police. 

Police say the crime was captured on camera. 

Gaston will face charges of assault and battery and armed assault with intent to rob. He will face a judge on Monday. 

The clerk was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
