Seventh grader Zion Cudjoe is dedicating his time to helping the homeless.

Cudjoe, 13, is a student at Gardner Pilot Academy in Allston. He created “Zion Cares” to help feed the homeless in Boston.

Once or twice a month, Cudjoe and his mother use their own money to make up bagged lunches and hand them to the homeless on Boston Common.

Cudjoe suffers from hydrocephalus, which means he has a buildup of fluid inside the skull that leads to brain swelling.

His family said his condition does not slow him down.

Cudjoe has also begun collecting gloves and scarves to hand out to the homeless this winter.
