NATICK, MASS. (WHDH) - Natick Police are investigating a series of threatening letters, that police say were left on a resident’s doorstep, as a possible hate crime.

Police received a report from a man who found two threatening letters on his doorstep on two consecutive days.

According to police, the first letter, which was handwritten, was found on Thursday morning.

They said the second letter, which was typed, was found on Friday night.

Police say both letters contained profanity and racial slurs.

The Natick Police Chief, James G. Hicks, said in a release that the department is taking the case very seriously.
