MARBLEHEAD, MASS. (WHDH) - The Anti-Defamation League is condemning anti-Semitic vandalism found at Marblehead High School.
Police discovered writing on the softball field that said “Jews did 9/11.”
A window was also broken.
Police are searching for the person responsible for the graffiti.
On Thursday, the Superintendent of Marblehead schools released a statement:
Last week someone placed offensive and anti-Semitic statement at the softball field which is part of the Marblehead High School complex and which is accessible to the public. The Marblehead Police Department immediately commenced an investigation but has concluded that it cannot identify the perpetrator. We have nothing indicating that this act was committed by a Marblehead student. As noted, the field is fully accessible to members of the public. Marblehead Public Schools, like the Town of Marblehead, condemns this type of conduct in the strongest possible terms and vigorously enforces school rules against hate speech at all times. We regret that someone apparently has chosen to use Marblehead High School property to perpetrate this offensive act and hope they realize the harmful impact of his or her conduct and come forward to admit it.
