DERRY, N.H. (WHDH) - Police are looking for suspects after a Massachusetts teen was shot and killed in Derry, New Hampshire.
The shooting happened at around 11:15 p.m. Wednesday on North Shore Road. When officers arrived on scene, they said they found a dead teen who appeared to have suffered from a gunshot wound.
The victim has now been identified as Cole Kinney, 17, of Lowell. Friends said he was set to begin his senior year of high school in September. He also trained as a boxer at Ramalo’s West End Gym in Lowell.
“Cole was the type of person who makes everybody happy,” said Eliott Ruiz, who boxed with Kinney.
According to investigators, multiple people were involved. By late morning, a Rav-4 with Massachusetts license plates on it was taken from the crime scene.
Police said there is no ongoing threat to the community. No one has been arrested in connection with the shooting.
A vigil will be held Thursday night.
