NORTHBORO, MASS. (WHDH) - NORTHBOROUGH, MA (WHDH) — Northborough and Westborough police are searching for at least one suspect after a jogger reported being assaulted Thursday morning.

According to police, on Thursday around 10:30 a.m. a young woman who was jogging was assaulted on Lynn Street near Talbot Road in Northborough.

As the jogger approached the railroad bridge, she saw a man standing at the railing.

Shortly after she passed him, she realized he was running after her and he assaulted her by grabbing her from behind.

Police said she turned to confront him and he ran off down Talbot Road.

Police officers and K9 units set up a perimeter and tracked the area.

The jogger said she remembered seeing a smaller, dark-colored car enter Talbot Road a short time before the arrival of police.

During the search, a woman in Westborough reported to police that two men in a small black car circled around her in the car near Lake Chauncy.

She said she first saw the car and two men on the side of the road with the car’s hood up when she walked past them. Shortly thereafter the car pulled up beside her. She then ran away from the car.

The Northborough victim described the man that assaulted her as an Hispanic man, 5’8″ tall, in his 30s, wearing khaki shorts and a black T-shirt.

One of the men in the Westborough incident was described as wearing similar khakis and a dark shirt.
