DORCHESTER, MASS. (WHDH) - Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect after an assault at a restaurant in Dorchester – all of which was caught on tape.

It was Sunday, Nov. 20, when a woman entered Don Tequeño y Doña Arepa on Blue Hill Avenue and started to flip over tables in a rage, causing damage to a glass front door and other parts of the restaurant.

“That day, she decided to get physical, with everybody,” Juan Marte, the owner of the restaurant, said. “So that was a big turn of events.”

Video showed the woman, who Marte said is known to the employees, pulled the register from the counter. When an employee tried to stop her, they said she began kicking over trash barrels and tables, and bit an employee on his arm when he tried to stop the woman from entering the restaurant kitchen.

“She didn’t want to leave, and she got very aggressive very quickly,” Marte added. “It was a lot of chaos.”

The woman ran away before police arrived on the scene, officials said. Marte said he is thankful the incident wasn’t worse.

“You know we’re not going to let this instance keep us from doing what we’ve been doing, so we’re going to keep an eye out and hopefully we’re able to catch this girl and prevent her from harming businesses around the community,” he said.

Police urge anyone with information on this individual to contact District B-2 Detectives at 617-343-4275
