PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) — A 28-year-old Pawtucket woman has been convicted in the fatal shooting of a man on Halloween in 2016.
The Providence Journal reports that Trearra Hudgen was found guilty Friday of first-degree murder; discharge of a firearm while committing a crime of violence resulting in death; first-degree robbery; assault with a dangerous weapon; conspiracy; and carrying a pistol without a license.
Prosecutors say she shot Matthew Reverdes after a dispute over drugs. Police said she and Julio “Whisper” Cano of Pawtucket confronted and robbed Reverdes in his basement apartment, then shot him as he tried to flee.
Cano pleaded guilty in June to murder and conspiracy to commit assault with a dangerous weapon in and is awaiting sentencing.
Hudgen faces a mandatory life sentence.
