WASHINGTON DEPOT, Conn. (AP) — A real Connecticut town is being transformed into the fictional Stars Hollow from the TV show “Gilmore Girls” for the weekend.

The town of Washington Depot is hosting a “Gilmore Girls” fan festival.

The show’s producers have said Washington Depot served as an inspiration for the fictional town.

There will be several events inspired by the show, which is being revived next month with four new episodes on Netflix.

Ticketed guests will be able to experience tea at a local inn, a cake tasting at the market, coffee at the hardware store and a staged knit-a-thon.

There also will be screenings of “Gilmore Girl” episodes and panel discussions with members of the cast and crew.
