7’s Trey Daerr and Jadiann Thompson are back this week with their picks for the Fantasy Fixer.

Patriots quarterback Tom Brady could arguably be having one of the best starts to his career. How will this week play out?

“Incredible through two games,” Daerr said. “Now he’s really starting to elevate the other people around him. That’s what we are seeing right now. Rob Gronkowski is on fire, Martellus Bennett has had some really good games, Pittsburgh’s past defense, not very good. It’s one of the worst in all of the NFL.”

Julian Edelman hasn’t elevated his game since Brady’s return. He has only had 28 catches on the year and is still without a touchdown. Start him this week, as he’s due up for a touchdown.

The Steelers are down to their backup quarterback, so you probably don’t want to go with Landry Jones against the Patriots defense.

“No,” Daerr said. “Antonio Brown, best receiver in football, not really sure he can get him the ball. But the running game is really what I’m going to look at. You have an inexperienced quarterback here going up a pretty solid defense and good coaching staff. You need to play off the running game.”

DeAngelo Williams played last year in the season opener and got the bulk of the carries, but we are not seeing that this year. Sit Williams this week.

The Steelers are not the worst in the league. New Orleans and Oakland are the only two teams in the league that are worst than the Steelers in past defense. Both teams gave up over 300 teams per game, which is a great matchup if you have a quarterback.

“Blake Bortle’s a bit of a disappointment this year, still got some great weapons, think he’s breaks up the Raiders,” Daerr said.

This week, start Bortles.
