Election Day… it’s here and the weather won’t slow us down across New England as sunshine dominates the skies and does it thing quite nicely today. Yes it’s a frosty start, and may warrant a few minutes of running the defrost on the windshield, but the warm-up is fast as highs head to near 60 thanks to a near flawless sky with tons of sun.  There’s not much of a breeze either, which is great, but without much of a westerly wind, it’ll be easy for the sea breeze to kick in along the coast, holding temps there in the mid to upper 50s as we watch inland towns rise to the 61-63 range.

This evening runs on the cool, but comfy side, as temperatures slides back into the upper 30s to upper 40s by midnight with the coolest temps in the burbs. While the evening is clear, more clouds fill in overnight and most towns run in the 40s by daybreak tomorrow.

More clouds hang in tomorrow as scattered showers move in by midday and during the afternoon. Rain totals aren’t that impressive, a couple of tenths of an inch or less, as highs hold in the 50s.

The rest of the forecast is dry with a gusty wind developing Friday thanks to a moisture starved front crossing with more clouds vs. any rain. The frost kicks up the wind, but also deals us a quick shot of chilly air for Saturday and Saturday night. The cold isn’t all that long lasting as seasonable temps is the lower 50s work back by Sunday. The next potential rain-maker won’t arrive until either mid to late next week.

Enjoy the sunshine today, go vote, and maybe sneak in a little more outside time in the milder air if you can.
