Well, it’s a much different feel to the air walking out the door this morning as temperatures run a good 20-25 degrees warmer than they did yesterday morning around sunrise.  You can thank the persistent southerly wind for that as humidity starts to creep up too.

While we won’t have nearly as much sun as yesterday, it’s not a bad day overall as just an occasional shower passes through amid a mostly dry day.  Glimpses of sun will be enough to send temps into the lower to middle 70s this afternoon too.

It’s mild and muggy tonight, and by the pre-dawn hours tomorrow, we’ll have to track showers and thunderstorms across the area.  Yes, that’s right, morning thunderstorms as a vigorous, quick moving system, slides on through.  The set-up may be enough to provide gusty winds too, so we’ll keep an eye on these storms as a few may be quite feisty.  The timing for most of these showers and storms runs 4:00AM-9:00AM with the area drying out after that.  The afternoon will be a brighter one, a breezy one and a mild one with highs in the lower to middle 70s and humidity lowering.

In terms of the lunar eclipse… I don’t have much hope for seeing it as the total eclipse is from 6:25 AM – 7:24AM (moon set here is 6:54AM).  Even though we’d have a half hour before the moon set, the timing of it also coincides with the best chance for showers and thunderstorms, and obviously a lot of clouds.

Later in the week, a wave of rain moves in from late Friday afternoon – early Saturday morning, but the rest of the weekend looks dry.

Have a great day!
